Lesson 119: The Value of Size

Size does matter when we meet an opponent in battle at a specific time and place. General overall superiority doesn't matter. Only local superiority does. This is the meaning of focus. It gives us that local superiority that we need. The secret of using strength and weakness, fullness and emptiness, and knowledge and ignorance is setting up the right confrontations. We want to put our resources where our opponents have the fewest resources. We want knowledge where they are ignorant. It is the balance of one against the other in a specific time and place that makes the difference.
